When the brain, spinal cord or nerves are affected by injury or illness, the way you move changes. Walking can become unsteady. Balance is harder to hold. Tasks that used to be automatic, like getting dressed, climbing the stairs or holding a cup, start taking real effort.
Neurological physiotherapy is the work of rebuilding those skills, so you can get back to the things that matter to you.
Dedicated neurological rehabilitation is hard to find on the northern Gold Coast, and harder still to find close to home. Our neuro team has specific training and clinical experience in neuro rehab, and we treat people at every stage of recovery: from those just out of hospital, to those who have lived with a condition for years and want to keep progressing.
You can see us at our Pimpama clinic, or we can come to you for in-home neuro rehab across the Gold Coast, Logan and Brisbane. We are a registered NDIS provider.
Neurological conditions we treat

Vestibular conditions and balance disorders
If your condition is not on this list, it is still worth asking. We treat a wide range of neurological presentations and can tell you honestly whether we are the right fit for you.

Our approach to neuro rehabilitation
Neurological recovery is rarely a straight line. We focus on what is known to actually drive change in the nervous system: plenty of repetition, the right amount of challenge, and practising the specific tasks you want to get better at.
That might mean:

Sessions usually combine task-based practice, strength and conditioning, balance and coordination work and, where it helps, vestibular or visual retraining.
We also work closely with your other treating clinicians, including your GP, specialists, occupational therapists and speech pathologists, so everyone is pulling in the same direction.
Walking outdoors on uneven ground
Working on getting in and out of the car
Rebuilding the strength to return to work or sport

Turtlebrace for spasticity management
Spasticity is the involuntary tightness or stiffness in muscles that often follows a stroke, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis or spinal cord injury. It can make everyday movements harder, lead to contractures over time, and limit how much progress you make in rehab. Managing it well is a key part of neurological recovery, and our team uses Turtlebrace orthoses as one of the tools for the job.
We can fit Turtlebrace orthoses for the ankle in adults. Fittings are hands-on: we mould the brace directly to your limb in the clinic or at home, depending on what works best for your situation, and we book regular reviews to remould it as you progress.

Funding for neurological physiotherapy
We are a registered NDIS provider and work with the Support at Home program for older adults. We can also support private clients, motor vehicle accident (CTP) claims, DVA clients and eligible Medicare Chronic Disease Management referrals.

If you are a participant of the National Injury Insurance Scheme Queensland (NIISQ), you may be eligible for rehabilitation services under the scheme. Contact us to discuss your situation.

Eligibility and funding depend on your individual circumstances and plan, so it is worth a quick chat to work out what applies to you.
