GENERAL PHYSIOTHERAPY
Everyday Care for Aches and Pain
Most people who walk through our door at Pimpama Physiotherapy aren’t professional athletes. They’re office workers with stiff necks, parents lifting kids the wrong way, tradies with sore shoulders, and weekend runners with cranky knees. General physiotherapy is injuries related to day-to-day activities or even at work.
Our team treats the full range of muscle, joint and nerve-related problems at our Pimpama clinic or via home visits across the Gold Coast, Logan and Brisbane regions. Whether the pain came on overnight or has been niggling for years, our role is to work out exactly what’s going on, explain it to you clearly, and put together a thorough plan to get you moving better.
What our Pimpama physiotherapists help with:
-
New injuries and flare-ups - sprains, strains, falls, sporting knocks
-
Long-standing pain that hasn’t shifted with rest or medication
-
Posture-related neck, back and shoulder pain
-
Headaches and migraines
-
Whiplash and motor vehicle accident injuries
-
Concussion
-
Vertigo or dizziness
-
Recovery after surgery, fractures or hospital stays
-
Pre-event “tune-ups” and injury prevention

How our physiotherapy treatment works
Every plan starts with a thorough physio assessment. Once we know what’s driving the problem, treatment usually combines a few different things: hands-on techniques (joint mobilisation, soft tissue release, dry needling where appropriate), targeted exercises you can do between sessions, and education on what’s safe to load and what to avoid. As you improve, the focus shifts from settling pain to building strength and resilience so the issue doesn’t keep coming back.
What to expect at your first physio appointment
Allow about 30 minutes to an hour. We’ll go through your history, check how you’re moving, identify the structures involved, and start treatment on the same day. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of what’s going on, what we’re going to do about it, and a few things to start working on at home.
